The Space Place LEGO® Mosaic

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve done anything on my site. I’ve been so busy with work and with other stuff that I’ve got in the woodwork I haven’t had much time to maintain my site let alone keeping my sanity. But I’m very happy to say that I’m wrapping up one of my projects that I’ve had the most enjoyment working on. I’ve only got a couple things left to do but I’ve been making a LEGO® Mosaic of the Team Identifier for The Space Place, which is the group I’m a part of at JPL/NASA.

I took our groups identifier…

http://spaceplace.nasa.gov

and created a LEGO® Mosaic of it….

The Mosaic was put together using 6 Gray Baseplates and measures 45″ long by 30″ tall. I haven’t weighed or counted the number of pieces yet.

I’ll have more updates as soon as I finish the last few things I have left on it which are completing the Black frame, fixing some of the bricks placement, and mounting the damn thing.

And of course I can’t forget to give credit to my wife for putting up with my impatience and helping me put this together. Thanks baby.

If you have a Mosaic you’d like to make and need some help, don’t hesitate to contact me.
