Halo 3 release date announced! November 1, 2007

Well it appears Amazon shot themselves in the foot. Refer to my previous post about Halo 3.

Looks like the Halo 3 release date will be November 1st of 2007! Presales including detailed information of the different sets have become available on GameSpot.com and other retailers. Now I wonder if Amazon simply performed this distasteful act just to get customers to sign up knowing it was due out at sometime in the future anyway? In addition, as of today, November 7, 2006, looking at the Halo 3 listing on Amazon, they updated their listing to state:

Game developer Bungie announced that Halo 3 will be released for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 sometime in 2007

Which is now old news since other retailers are already forecasting the correct arrival date. Will Amazon ever get it right? Eventually…
